Seventy Years of Dennis the Menace

The world's longest running comic weekly, The Beano, will be celebrating seventy tearaway years of Dennis the Menace tomorrow. Created by artist Davey Law and editor George Moonie, the psychotic scamp first appeared in issue 452, dated 17th March, 1951 (which went on sale the week before).

    So many fond memories of The Beano as a child, and even though I'm now in my forties, Christmas wouldn't be Christmas without a copy of the Beano annual!
